We currently have a Senior Systems Engineer career opportunity at our Santa Fe Springs, CA (iCoat Laboratories) location.


POSITION PURPOSE:
The Sr. Sys. Eng. will be an integral part of the Licensing Team that assists licensees in all phases of coating operations. The Licensing Team uses its expertise as necessary to ensure iCoat licensees are successful in coating lenses with the iCoat proprietary coating technology.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:

Responsible for working in the Licensing Department and responsibilities will include:
Dipcoating / High Vacuum Technical Support
Thin Film Engineering-PVD
Training licensee labs
Conduct lab operations audits
Quality control of licensee lab coating performance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND
Qualifications:

Minimum (2) years in the high vacuum, thin film industry working on vacuum deposition systems that utilize CVD/PVD technology
Technical skills in electro-mechanical troubleshooting to include PLC's and robotics
Mechanical hands-on experience.
Pneumatics, hydro-pneumatics experience
Some college or technical school preferred as a minimum. Military electronics schooling accepted.
Able to work in the U.S
Able to travel domestic and international. Up to 50%
Able to lift 50 pounds w/o restrictions
Willing to relocate if excessively outside 90670 zip code (if commuting is not an option)
Must provide Customer Satisfaction
Great communication skills (oral, written, electronic, etc.)
Optics experience is a plus
MS Office skills is a plus
Equipment utilities knowledge; water, compressed air, electrical, refrigeration, etc. is a plus
Chemical safety-HAZMAT is a plus
SDS knowledge is a plus
Schematics, blueprints, etc. reading is a plus


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
