Job Description:
Manage and direct purchasing and purchasing programs as they relate to the Turf & Ornamental
market. Maximizes national rebate programs for Turf & Ornamental products ensuring maximum rebate dollars are earned. Ensures right stock and right price is available in appropriate location for
soonest possible distribution. Maintains inventory levels and turns within company guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Senior manager in charge of T&O purchasing
Reviews and updates team on any and all incentive programs including annual rebates, monthly incentives, Early Order Program.
Negotiates and works with suppliers to ensure best buys and maximum rebate opportunity, sales
to ensure correct product and also any marketing opportunities.
Ability to forecast along branch network and with suppliers creating specific annual usage goals. Coordinates end userpromotions with marketing, and pricing analyst for smooth execution following supplier rules and reporting.
Trains, supports and mentors team on policy, procedures, computer system updates.
Maintains calendar of programs and key dates. Attends all shows and supplier meetings.
Works with regulatory for proper licensing.
Requirements:
5
years experience purchasing experience in mid size organization with annual spend of $50 Million +
Experience with chemical distribution, Turf & Ornamental products and hazmat
materials is a plus but not mandatory.
4 year college degree (with purchasing major/minor a plus)
Ability to multitask, manage people productively and respectfully
Work as part of a team in a professional environment.
Ability to communicate effectively and concisely.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
