RJ Kates Company is Southern California's largest family owned Welding Rental and Repair company with branches in San Diego and Santa Fe Springs.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking laborer to work in our Santa Fe Springs location.
In the shop you will be responsible for performing various physical tasks related to receiving, inspecting and repairing rental welding equipment, assisting in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and helping walk-in customers.
This is a hands-on role that requires physical strength and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
Safety Ensures a safe work environment and maintain a clean and organized work area by following R.
J.
Kates Company health and safety guidelines.
Ensures compliance with all government and company safety and environmental programs.
Maintenance of Portable Power and Welding Cables and Accessories.
Inspect/repair damaged cables as they are returned from rental.
Keep adequate inventory of equipment to meet current needs Perform routine service on small engine driven equipment (on the job training available) Maintain neat and orderly shop.
Customer Service Assist walk in customers with loading and unloading equipment Assist drivers with loading and unloading delivery vehicles Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment.
Skills:
Ability to arrive at place of work on time.
Ability to maintain effective verbal and written communication with customers and co-workers.
Ability to work safely.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks Previous experience with equipment rental a plus Previous experience with welding equipment preferred Pay commensurate to relevant experience and previous training Job Type:
