Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Focuses on day-to-day oversight of all operations in the warehouse.
Responsible for the hiring and onboarding of all new warehouse employees.
Lead by example, spending the required amount of time on the production floor to drive results Manages, and reviews, daily performance by assisting supervisors in the progressive discipline process to assigned employees and has significant input into separations of employment for warehouse personnel.
Ensures that all plant, warehouse, and shipping department employees comply with safety regulations, driving safety initiatives, and ensuring that safety walks are all completed 100% of the time.
Ensures that the Company is in continual compliance with all safety regulations.
Partners with Compliance Managers to ensure the plant and warehouse adhere to all regulatory agency and insurance requests/requirements.
Implements plant policies and procedures.
Ensures all policies and procedures are executed and enforced.
Implements plant production goals and ensures that they are met.
Inspects Yards daily ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to.
Conducts Production scheduling meeting daily ensuring the most efficient/cost-effective human resources are employed.
Assists supervisors with employee timecard review and approvals adhering to wage and hour laws compliance.
Reviews supply requirements weekly ensuring all supplies are available and ready for use and reordered as needed.
Review vendor invoices for accuracy.
Coordinates with weekend crew cleaning and painting requirements, weekly.
Manages daily warehouse PPE Supply Inventory.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies Education/Work
Experience:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, College degree preferred Extensive knowledge of plant operation.
Experience overseeing production operations and knowledge of manufacturing, employment regulations policies, practices, and procedures.
Proficient at typing.
Frequent contact with the public and staff under a variety of circumstances requiring the ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written) with others of all social and economic levels from a diverse cultural and ethnic population.
Ability to read and interpret general business writing and to write routine reports, business correspondence, and emails.
PC Literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid Driver's License Willingness to travel both locally and on company business as required.
Physical Demands:
Requires manual dexterity and hearing/visual acuity sufficient to effectively perform the duties inherent to the position, including operation of equipment of varying degrees of complexity.
Sedentary with intermittent walking and standing and occasional squatting, kneeling, climbing, and/or bending.
Occasional light to medium lifting and carrying (from one to 25 pounds).
Salary:
$100000 - $115000 / year Higher compensation may be available for someone based on location, advanced skills, and/or experience.
